President Trump joked about reversing the pardon of former President Obama’s turkeys during the annual White House turkey pardon on Tuesday, according to the Washington Examiner.
Trump lightheartedly joked that the Counsel’s Office had told him the pardon given to Tater and Tot—last year’s turkeys—could not be revoked.

“As many of you know, I have been very active in overturning a number of executive actions by my predecessor,” Trump quipped during the annual turkey pardoning ceremony on Tuesday. “However, I have been informed by the White House Counsel’s Office that Tater and Tot’s pardons cannot under any circumstances be revoked.”
“So, we’re not going to revoke them,” Trump added. “So, Tater and Tot, you can rest easy.”
President Trump pardoned a turkey named Drumstick during the ceremony in the White House Rose Garden on Tuesday. Drumstick will be sent to a turkey sanctuary in Gobbler’s Rest, Virginia.Note: The author of this article has included commentary that expresses an opinion and analysis of the facts.
